16/3/00 Millenium Review approved, including banning manufacturers of PB equipment from judging. (read the review here). New qualification arrangements for grade one at world championships approved. (bands will qualify for final: on the result of previous major competition result the same season, being placed previous year, a play off in the morning. So bands from overseas will feel they have to come to Scotland to try to qualify and therefore play once on the day.). Jim Cruickshank from
Aberdeen elected chairman. Colin Darroch elected Executive officer. 45 Washington St to remain HQ for time being. Judges consultation period (that is: getting together at end of competitions to discuss ressult) is to be scrapped, (so they can't get together after the competition and change there results.). 400 band reps attended.
